Serre Chevalier Ski & Snowboard School

Serre Chevalier is one of France's most underrated yet spectacular resorts — a vast, high-altitude ski area set above a string of charming traditional villages in the Hautes-Alpes. With over 250km of runs stretching across four valleys, it rivals the Alps' most famous destinations while retaining an authentically French character.

Supreme Ski School has taught over 100,000 hours of ski lessons over 30 years, we know how to deliver the perfect ski lesson experience.

Ski school in Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier's ski domain spans four linked resort villages — Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monêtier-les-Bains — and covers 2,800 hectares of skiable terrain between 1,200m and 2,800m. With 61 lifts and runs for every ability, from wide open beginner blues to challenging blacks and some of the best natural off-piste in the southern Alps, there is something here for skiers and snowboarders at every level.

What sets Serre Chevalier apart is its combination of altitude, snow reliability and a genuinely authentic alpine atmosphere. The resort sits in the sunnier southern Alps, offering long days of light and a season that frequently stretches from December through to April. The villages below the slopes retain their medieval character — Briançon is a UNESCO World Heritage fortified city — giving the resort a sense of place that purpose-built stations simply cannot match.

A little bit about Serre Chevalier

Today
21

Serre Chevalier sits in the Hautes-Alpes near the Italian border, giving it a distinctive character, longer seasons, reliable sunshine, and a relaxed pace compared to the busier Savoie resorts. The four villages each have their own personality: Briançon offers UNESCO-listed history and a thriving town centre, while Monêtier is the quietest and most authentic of the four, popular with those wanting a genuine mountain village feel. Off the slopes, the region offers excellent cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing and a famous thermal spa at Monêtier. The local food scene is rooted in southern French and alpine traditions, well worth exploring after a day on the mountain.
