Having just returned from a fabulous week in Courchevel 1850, I would just like to leave a few comments about Supreme Ski. Right from the offset (before we even arrived) Olly was friendly professional and more than helpful. I had a private lesson with a friend of mine (slightly different levels) with Olly, he was patient!, gave excellent instructions to us both individually and ensured we had a great time skiing, whilst improving our skill set at the same time. Meanwhile our children were having lessons with Scott and Arthur, who we only ever heard great things about! Charlie’s skiing improved so much he was on a black run at the end of the week and was loving it. Thanks to all at Supreme, you each ensured we had a great holiday. Would have no hesitations in recommending you to complete novices or to those who require improvements, or to those wanting to really push themselves. See you soon! Visited April 2015
I would like to thank Craig for two very helpful and enjoyable lessons given in not the best conditions for snow or weather. I think the other who were with us also found the lessons with Tom helpful and enjoyable.
A big thank you to Evelyn for teaching our 7 year old daughter for the second year. She loved every minute and was thrilled to get her silver medal at the end of the week! It was a delight to see Evelyn leading her down Saulire in their matching turquoise ski suits! Evelyn is patient, caring and fun. Hopefully we will see you next year!
What a blast! It was a great week with Nick and the Team. The girls had a great time, tuition was brilliant and they learnt loads.
I would like to comment Supreme and Scott most highly. After many MANY years of bad classes with ESF, I finally managed to find a ski school that a) speaks English b) have patience and empathy with students). This is a fantastic ski school with small groups and amazing private classes (tried both). I recommend most highly.
Having come back from Courchevel this week, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our lessons with Roy Bissett last week. He was absolutely terrific from a teaching perspective and a real pleasure to spend time with. You have a great set up and I hope that you continue for a long time - I have to say that our decision to go to Courchevel over a number of other resorts we considered was in no small part down to Supreme Ski and you didn't let us down again.
We had a great time in Courchevel and wanted to thank you Gareth Roberts, Dave Norman and Kenny Dickson for helping to make it such a fantastic holiday. We both improved our skiing and very much enjoyed doing so and we equally enjoyed the lunches!!! Maybe see you next year for more of the same???
We had a great week skiing and the two girls thoroughly enjoyed their lessons with 'Silly Willy', alias Willy McMillan. (I hope you can print that one!) They also dramatically improved from last year, it seemed to click this time! Finally I had a great time going at great speed down the Loz Red run and was so chuffed to complete it without taking any major tumbles! Thanks to Gareth Roberts for the lessons - really enjoyable.
We would never have planned a private lesson in the rain but that's how it turned out. Fortunately higher up it was falling as snow. Despite the conditions Allan Askings delivered a highly constructive lesson making only minor changes to our dated technique. The penny dropped after a short while and we had the best two hours of the week. It's not only the technical side that makes Allan special but also the thoughtful and positive way he puts it across. It's not often we would commit to revisiting a resort purely on the strength of a teaching experience but last week changed our minds on that. Thanks also to Sue Dickson for the navigational assistance. How can anyone get lost in La Praz?
We have just returned from an amazing week skiing in Courchevel, enabled by lessons with Gareth Roberts at Ski Supreme. Can't thank you enough Gareth, for your humour, fantastic tuition, patience and edvice on where to eat; 'Le Ya Ca' was fabulous. Our 3 sons look forward to a lesson with you next year being taught to carve and do tricks on their skis!!! (We'll stick with the basics). Many thanks again Bill Newman and family Christmas 2009
Many thanks yet again to all at Supreme. We have been holidaying in Courvhevel for 10 years and it's all Evelyn's fault! She is fantastic and has taught me from level 0 to getting me down my first black run! Then I couldn't keep off them (albeit a lot of the time on my backside!) Had such a great time in Jan that we went back in March. Also, hubby had a great time with Gareth Roberts who got him down the Grand Couloir which he throughly enjoyed. Kids in tow as well - learned their 'pizza' and 'chips' - can't wait for next year now. Thanks again to everyone for our great holidays!
Many thanks again from the Adams family for the 5th fantastic ski holiday in Courchevel, destination chosen for the ski-school alone! The 3 teenagers really enjoyed racing about the mountains with Emma Carrick Anderson and Mairi (age 9) had a great week with Allan Askings. Both parents are continuing to improve under Sue Dickson's watchful eye. Having now had most of the instructors over the 5 year period I think we can honestly say that Supreme Ski-School is truly suited for the whole family!
Thank you very much for an absolutely fantastic week - amazing instruction, with humour, appropriate challenge and complete patience. Our very reticent children rushed daily to their ski classes - it made the holiday doubly enjoyable for the adults as well as the children. Everyone improved enormously not only in skill level but in confidence and that is a real achievement!
Alan Askings was the most amazing instructor - and I have been taught by many over the years! Alan "connected" with the whole group with ease, and was able to make his points easily, in a way that a French instructor could not. I attended his class and also took two private lessons, both were excellent and were also great fun. I saw tremendous progress over my week in the resort and will book again without hesitation.
Just writing to thank you for last week - Toby really enjoyed the "Teen Class" with Emma Carrick-Anderson, he had a great time and got a lot out of it - very many thanks
Just back after a wonderful week in 3 valleys. The highlight of the holiday for all our teenagers was the lessons with supremeski. Sue Dickson and Emma Carrick-Anderson were superb and our thanks goes to them both for making the lessons so enjoyable and so informative. The kids all felt very privileged to have instruction form such wondeful skiers.
I write to confirm that I have returned home, all in one piece and want to register my thanks to Roy Bissett for his splendid tuition and patience in getting my skiing to a higher standard than I thought might be possible. Thanks - and I hope to use your services again in the future
We have been back from our skiing holiday for two weeks now so this is a very belated thank you for all your help! You gave our daughter (Emma) a private lesson on the last day of our lovely hot, sunny ski week, and totally restored her confidence. Emma had, unfortunately had lessons with a pretty French instructor who was more interested in admiring himself than in coaching his pupils! How many of those xxxxx are there on the slopes? Too many alas!! Emma returned from her lesson with you declaring "I don't ever want to have a lesson with anyone but Roy Bissett". I must say that I had to suppress the "I told you so", as I had been telling her all week to quit her class - anyway, thank you for saving the day! We do hope that you will be around the slopes of Courchevel next year and that we see you then!
We were extremely impressed with the service and tuition you provided by Supreme. The boys had each had only one hour of lessons at the MK Xscape prior to this holiday, yet after 6 hours tuition Sam (age 9) was able to ski back to La Tania, and by the end of the week Tom (age 5.5) skied down the Chapelets red!
Just back from the most fantastic ski holiday in Courchevel. We had wall to wall sunshine and the snow was great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lessons with the Supreme Ski team. I had Gareth Roberts, Allison and Lorna had Nick, and Hannah had Dave Norman. I popped into the ski school on our last day to say thanks but wanted to do so again by email. Could you please pass this on to the respective instructors? We enjoyed ourselves so much we are looking at trying to go back in April. We would like to have the same instructors again!
I would just like to give some feed back as my wife and I recently used Supreme Ski School. We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot. Everyday we woke up feeling the pain from the previous day but, despite that we could not wait to get our skis on! This has to be down to Roy Bissett! He is a brilliant teacher, with a great sense of humour and a wit to put most top comedians out of work! His experiance was second to none and I'm sure he is a valued instructor to Supreme!! He was very patient and professional at all times. Roy is the kind of guy who you rarely get to meet and is someone who both my wife and I feel privledged to have met. As nice as Courchevel is my best memory will skiing with Roy Bissett, a true gent. I will also recommend Supreme to others. I do hope I can do this as it would be a thank you to Roy Bissett for being such a great bloke.
I just wanted to drop your office a note to let you know how thrilled I was with the lessons I recently booked through Supreme Ski School. I visited Courchevel 1850 and had lessons with Evelyn MacLean between 4th & 8th January 09. Evelyn was absolutley excellent, she kept the group moving. I went to Courchevel with a group of friends and was fairly skeptical as I am normally a beach holiday person. Evelyn managed to teach me to ski and has now given me an expensive hobby in life. I would definitely book with Supreme on my next trip.
We arrived home from Courchevel on Saturday. Just wanted to thank the school for providing the best lessons I have come across since our kids started skiing 2 years ago. Using a British school obviously helps, but the standard was even well above what we received from a British school in Val D'Isere 2 years ago. The teachers were excellent with the children. A couple of the adults in our group also had lessons - the help they got and confidence gained from the teachers is already proving to be one of the key factors in deciding where to go skiing next year! Supreme was recommended to us by a friend, and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending you to others.
Hi, I would like to thank you all for being so helpful on my ski holiday 2 weeks ago (The Cossey tribe). Thanks to John Swift for the instruction for myself and Denise. Best instructor ever - thanks for putting up with all the laughter John!! Sorry about falling over so much! Hope to be back next year with out new techniques!
Dear Supreme Ski, I'm writing to complement you on Kenny Dickson, a ski instructor of yours at Courchevel. I and a friend of mine took ski lessons from Kenny in early March. We both had a fantastic experience. Kenny gave excellent explanations of techniques, was patient with our faltering progress, and challenged us but never pushed us to the point that we lost confidence. For myself, Kenny nursed me through a crisis of confidence on day 3 that saw me forget the basics of a snowplow turn when faced with what I considered then to be a steep slope. Because of his guidance, I was able to get down the slope that day, and come back over the following days to master it and move beyond. He was great! I hope to be able to return to Courchevel next year, and sincerely hope Kenny will still be instructing. If so, you will see me go to great lengths to time my trip to coincide with a week when he gives the appropriate level of instruction! Well done, Supreme Ski, for recruiting fantastic instructors like Kenny!
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the Supreme staff in Courchevel. Also a big thanks to the ski school for great instruction, in particular Alan Askings, and all the resort staff for making sure the lessons were relevant and the right level. A superb service all round and one that I will be happy to highly recommend. I hope you have a great season, and with a bit of luck I'll be back in March for another fix!
Many thanks for the excellent ski lessons last week. We have had ski lessons with many companies in the French Alps, but we are both firmly of the belief that Supreme have been the best. In particular we felt that the course was taught in a clear and structured manner with each technique put into context. In lessons with other companies we have been given techniques and tips, but the instructors have not been forthcoming on when these techniques should be used. We found that with Supreme (Gareth Roberts), we were clearly advised on which slopes and conditions each technique should be used. We were also hugely impressed with the friendliness of the entire team. The Supreme instructors are not just teachers, but restaurant critics, meteorologists and ski guides also! The 9.15 start for our lessons was also very useful as this allowed us plenty of time to get to the meeting point after a good breakfast. Finally, the price of lessons is definitely right! Of all the investments that we made in our ski holiday (skis, boots, flights, accommodation, ski passes, food etc), we felt that our modest lesson fees were by far the best value for money. Many thanks again, and we hope to see you in Courchevel again soon!
